Amanda Michele Brown is an artist living and working in Brooklyn, New York. Amanda was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and grew up just outside Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Art in 2010 with an emphasis in Printmaking and Painting after spending a semester abroad London.

Her work is inspired by the natural world from the smallest microscopic form to flora and fauna and beyond to intergalactic constellations. Working primarily in watercolor and pen + ink, she gravitates toward vibrant color and intricate patterns. Each piece shows the duality of nature, how the largest things in the universe echo the smallest organisms we can see, through explorations of pattern and structure.

Her work has been shown across the United States and as far as Australia. She lives with her partner, Matt and dog/studio assistant, Molly Moopy. She also works as a graphic designer at Pencils of Promise.

You can follow her process on Instagram and Facebook.
